Development & Fundraising Team

Position Summary:
The Development Director leads all fundraising and resource development efforts for The Renewal Foundation. This role is responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support the organization’s mission, programs, and long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement annual fundraising plans and campaigns

  • Oversee all donor engagement, retention, and stewardship efforts

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners

  • Lead fundraising events, campaigns, and outreach initiatives

  • Collaborate with leadership to align funding strategies with program goals

  • Track, analyze, and report fundraising performance and outcomes

  • Supervise development staff, including grants and major gifts roles

  • Qualifications:

  • Experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, or related field

  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills

  • Proven ability to meet fundraising goals and deadlines

  • Knowledge of donor management systems and fundraising strategies


Grants Coordinator

Position Summary:
The Grants Coordinator manages the full grant lifecycle—from research and application to reporting and compliance. This role plays a critical part in securing funding from foundations, government sources, and other grant-making organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with the organization’s mission

  • Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals and applications

  • Maintain a grants calendar with deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements

  • Track grant outcomes and ensure compliance with all funding guidelines

  • Collaborate with program staff to gather data, metrics, and impact stories

  • Prepare progress reports and post-award documentation

Qualifications:

  • Strong writing, research, and organizational skills

  • Experience with grant writing or nonprofit development preferred

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities

  • Attention to detail and compliance requirements


Major Gifts Officer

Position Summary:
The Major Gifts Officer focuses on building relationships with high-capacity donors to secure significant financial contributions that support the organization’s growth and long-term impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, cultivate, and solicit major donors

  • Build and manage a portfolio of high-value donor relationships

  • Develop personalized giving strategies and engagement plans

  • Conduct donor meetings, presentations, and follow-ups

  • Work closely with leadership on major gift campaigns and initiatives

  • Ensure consistent donor recognition and stewardship

Qualifications:

  • Experience in fundraising, sales, or relationship management

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to confidently engage with high-level donors and stakeholders

  • Strategic thinking and a goal-oriented mindset
